Our Second Lady came from nowhere and immediately won our hearts.
She is always calm, always gentle, and down to earth. The best Second Lady ever.
Migrating from India, her family didn’t come here just to survive — they came to thrive. And so Usha’s path took her at some of the most prestigious institutions in the world, including Cambridge, Yale, and even the Supreme Court.

And she wasn’t just studying there — Usha was one of the best students of her generation, catching the attention of one young man J.D. Vance. After a few weeks of flirting, J.D. finally got up the nerve to ask Usha out.
What happened next surprised everyone. Vance recalls in his book: “It violated every rule of modern dating I’d learned as a young man, but I didn’t care.”
After just one single date, it was over for JD. He was in love and blurted out “I love you” at the end of the date.
Luckily for him, it appears that his declaration was well received, and the two continued dating — something he later wrote about in his popular memoir, Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture.

And today, that story lives on through three beautiful children, a strong conservative family built on faith and values, and two of the most powerful figures shaping the nation
This is true love, and we truly love you too, VP JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance
