TOTAL MELTDOWN! The ‘diabolical’ moment SNL writers PRANKED Ryan Gosling and Ashley Padilla with last-minute script changes — leaving the stars in ‘hysterics’ as they read ‘shameful’ notes about ChatGPT and thirsty Ken comments!

  • SHOCKING: In a ‘cruel’ twist, SNL writers swapped the ‘Passing Notes’ script between dress rehearsal and air, forcing Ryan Gosling and breakout star Ashley Padilla to read ‘humiliating’ jokes for the first time LIVE!
  • CRINGE: Hollywood icon Gosling nearly ‘collapses’ while reading a note about his own character’s ‘pathetic’ obsession with the Barbie movie and his ‘harrowing’ lack of basketball skills.
  • UNFILTERED: Fans brand the segment the ‘most chaotic’ live TV moment of 2026 as an on-screen disclaimer warned viewers: “The contents of these notes have been changed!”

It was the prank heard ‘round Studio 8H!

In what is being called the most ‘vicious’ and ‘hilarious’ setup in the show’s 51-year history, Saturday Night Live writers pulled a ‘Stefon-style’ switcheroo on host Ryan Gosling and featured player Ashley Padilla.

The sketch, “Passing Notes,” began innocently enough with Padilla (playing the high-status Ms. Perry) and Gosling (as the ‘dorky’ Principal Witt) trying to lecture a classroom about the ‘harrowing’ effects of bullying. But as they began intercepting and reading student notes, the ‘pure’ comedy chaos began.

The ‘ChatGPT’ Diss

The ‘mayhem’ kicked off when Padilla snatched a note from Mikey Day, only to find a ‘vile’ personal attack she had never seen before. The note revealed that Ms. Perry had reportedly uploaded a selfie to ChatGPT asking for “makeover tips,” only for the AI to respond with a cold, “No.”

Padilla, usually known for her ‘unflappable’ composure, was seen ‘reeling’ and stifling a high-pitched giggle as she tried to maintain her ‘stern’ teacher persona.

The ‘Ken’ Confession

But it was Ryan Gosling, 45, who truly ‘crumbled’ under the pressure. Reading a note from student Jane Wickline, the Project Hail Mary star was forced to recount a ‘shameful’ sighting of his character at a 2023 screening of Barbie.

“He bought an entire row for himself,” Gosling read, his voice ‘shaking’ with laughter. “Every time the Ken character came on screen, he’d say, ‘Finally, something to look at. If I was still gay, I’d do him!’”

Gosling—who earned an Oscar nomination for playing the iconic doll—burst into ‘uncontrollable’ laughter, eventually shouting, “I refuse to apologize for being right!” as the audience erupted into ‘rapturous’ applause.

‘Diabolical’ Genius

Social media has been ‘deluged’ with clips of the stars ‘breaking’, with fans on X (formerly Twitter) praising the writers for their ‘wicked’ creativity.

“The on-screen disclaimer made it 100x funnier,” one viewer commented. “Seeing Ryan try to hide his face while reading about his own ‘Ken-ergy’ was ‘pure’ gold. This is the SNL we need!”

Another added: “Ashley Padilla is a ‘warrior’ for finishing that gynecologist joke. You could see her soul leaving her body from the ‘second-hand embarrassment’!”

The ‘raucous’ episode—already being hailed as a ‘classic’—proves that when it comes to Ryan Gosling, the best script is the one he hasn’t actually read.
