Taylor Sheridan’s hit Paramount+ series Landman was renewed for a next season, and we’re learning a bit more about the cast for the new episodes.

It seems all but confirmed that one major star won’t be returning – at least in any major capacity.

Landman co-creator Christian Wallace seemed to confirm that Jon ‘s character really did die, so fans are assuming he won’t be back for next season… unless he’s featured in flashbacks.

Christian told Variety, “It is safe to say that Monty has passed. But when you take one major player off the board, it opens up opportunities for other players — and I think that’s all I’m at liberty to say at this point.”
