āThat was really the work of choosing myself and breaking news barriers and stigmas along the way,ā she added.

āChecking myself into the hospital, asking for help, getting the help, getting the diagnosis ā thatās what pointed me in the direction of the right kind of therapy that finally started making a difference for me.ā
She continued, āI didnāt even know that there were so many different types of therapies, but talking about it helps people learn more about it. Weāve just got to talk about it all more.ā
Janai further discusses her battle with mental health and the evolution of her career in her upcomingĀ memoir, Breaking, set for release on January 5, 2027.
The TV personality reflects on her years as a correspondent at NewsOne before signing on withĀ GMA, where she spent the last four years.
