The Only Way is Essex star Chloe Lewis has paid tribute to her ex Jake Hall after his death.
Police in Majorca discovered the 35-year-old’s body in a pool of blood with fatal head wounds apparently caused by shards of glass.
Inquiries are focusing on the theory that a tragic accident unfolded after he smashed his head through a glass door.
‘Witnesses told investigators he had been out partying all night and decided to carry on the party back at the place he was renting,’ a source told The Sun.
They have also questioned four men and two women staying at the house, who reportedly told officers that they had been out in the evening and continued partying after returning to the property in the early hours.
Officers were reportedly called to the rented house in Santa Margalida in the north of the Spanish island at around 7.30am yesterday.
A police source said: ‘We are focusing on the theory the victim died in a tragic accident after hitting his head against the glass door, but it is still too early to say definitely what happened.’
An ongoing investigation is being led by the Spanish Civil Guard.
No arrests are believed to have been made, with an autopsy also due to be undertaken.
Hall’s final post, which was shared yesterday, read: ‘Life is b******s sometimes, but I’m gonna try remember the good things – looking through things – I’m just making art – in many forms.’
Three days ago, he also shared photos with his daughter River, who was with him in Spain. He captioned the photos: ‘My world – my world! My world.’
Hall often spent time in Majorca, where he had a second home. An FCDO spokesperson has said: ‘We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities.’
The reality star – who was also a footballer and model – shares his daughter, eight, with Misse Beqiri – a star of The Real Housewives franchise, with whom Hall had an on-and-off relationship since 2016.
In a statement, a representative for Beqiri told Metro: ‘At this time, Misse’s focus is on supporting and protecting their child as they come to terms with this devastating loss. The family are asking for privacy, compassion and respect while they grieve privately.’
Meanwhile, ITV shared: ‘Jake was a part of the Towie family for a number of years and we send our very deepest sympathies to his friends and family following today’s very sad news.’
Author Roxie Nafousi added: ‘Jake you were such a sweet soul, I always loved our catch ups. I know things weren’t always easy for you but you never gave up, and you really loved your little girl more than anything in the world. This is so devastating. Keep dancing up in heaven. Rest in peace.’
DJ Fat Tony wrote: ‘Devastating news we Love you such an awful loss to the world you beautiful man x’
PrettyLittleThing founder Umar Kamani posted a series of photos aongside Hall, writing on Instagram: ‘Ahhh Jake. I’m going to miss you so much my friend. Your energy, your pureness, your passion, your creativity, your love and many more. Just 2 weeks ago, we were together laughing, joking and being mischievous as we always were together.’
Love Island star Georgia Harrison, also shared a tribute that read: ‘RIP Jake my heart’s breaking for everyone close to you today and your amazing family.’
Blue star Anthony Costa wrote: ‘So sad what a lovely bloke you were mate R.I.P’
He added how Hall made him ‘smile’ and brought out his ‘playful’ side thanks to his own ‘infectious’ energy’.
‘You were an artist, creativity that always inspired me,’ he praised, adding he wishes Hall knew ‘how much [he] loved [him]’.
He further wrote: ‘You loved relentlessly, your beautiful daughter, your wonderful family, I pray for them so hard in these tough times. I can’t believe we will never dance together again in this life, but I can’t wait to do it again in the next life.
‘I hope you look down and see the love and adoration the world had for you, something I know you wanted so much, yet you always had it.’
In the comments, supermodel Naomi Campbell commented doves and a red heart.
Friend Pete Wicks also paid tribute with an Instagram story, captioned ‘Until we meet again, Jake.’
Denise Van Outen, who provided the Towie voiceover, also paid her condolences to the star.
‘I’ve worked on the show since it started, and with any loss within our Towie family, it is heartbreaking,’ she told The Daily Mail. ‘But he was so lovely whenever I saw him out, and he was so friendly and so talented.
‘I really feel for his family, my thoughts go out to them, and it is just really sad, and he was way too young to go.’
Jake Hall’s ex-girlfriend, Chloe Lewis, meanwhile, liked a tribute from Jake’s friend, Dan Bulman, which called the star a ‘fiercely loving and dedicated dad.’
Hall first rose to fame on Towie in 2015, where he dated Chloe Lewis before quitting the show.
He went on to launch his first fashion business in 2012, named Prévu. The clothing was worn by celebrities like Stormzy, David Beckham, and Bella Hadid.
The brand was sold to JD Sports in 2021 and acquired by Frasers Group in 2022, but it went into administration in 2023.
Last year, he was spotted partying with Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, after the Grammys.
In 2016, the TV personality was left in intensive care after being stabbed in a nightclub brawl.
He claimed he almost lost a kidney when he was reportedly stabbed with a broken bottle at Aqwa Mist in Marbella.
His death comes after his fellow Towie co-star Jordan Wright was found dead in a drainage canal in Phuket, Thailand, in March.
His cause of death is yet to be revealed, with an inquest opening today at Chelmsford Coroner’s Court. However, it was adjourned until September 14.
